With the launch of bedding on Spoonflower, we find ourselves dreaming of relaxing retreats. Channel your inner tranquility by creating a soothing design grounded in a soft color palette, or put your own spin on elevating a neutral hue—from warm ivory or flax to cool slate or blue. Designs will be previewed on a duvet cover, so think big to help voters see your work; elements within a design will look best when they are at least 12” (31cm). To make the most of your entry, we encourage you to create a collection around your design to give shoppers a complete bedding set that evokes serene dreams. See more tips for designing bedding here

Entries will be previewed on a Spoonflower Home Duvet Cover. Submissions close August 27 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins August 29. Winners will be announced September 5. See official rules.

1-Yard Cheater Quilt | Entries Due by September 3

Announcing September's Design Challenge Themes: 1 - Yard Cheater Quilt | Spoonflower Blog

In the hands of our imaginative designer community, this week’s 1-Yard Cheater Quilt challenge is sure to break outside of the creative box. Think beyond the traditional 6″ block cheater quilt; the 1-yard (42” x 36”) canvas is your playground for color, shapes, composition and style. Will your eye-catching quilt double as a modern wall hanging and offer a sleek aesthetic or maybe you’d like to cater to children? However unique you decide to go, keep in mind that your quilt should not be set to a centered repeat. Before you get started, be sure to head to the blog to see first hand how one designer elevated this traditional quilt template.

Entries will be previewed at the one yard size: 42” x 36”. Submissions close September 3 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins September 5. Winners will be announced September 12. See official rules.
